First Baptist Cedar Bluff is a church whose primary purpose and vision is to carry out God’s mission and mandate according to the Scripture. Through the leadership and vision of Pastor Shalamark Simpson, the First Baptist Cedar Bluff church continues to experience exceptional spiritual and numeric growth. Pastor Simpson’s goal, is to build and develop a full-time multi-purpose ministry designed to share the “good news” to the world. Through the Holy Spirit guidance along with dynamic preaching and teaching, First Baptist Cedar Bluff is soaring to unimaginable heights. With great excitement, expectation, and enthusiasm the First Baptist Cedar Bluff church family is moving forward in the Lord.

Our Beliefs

First Baptist Cedar Bluff Believes:

There is only one living and true God. This God makes up the Trinity, God the Father, God the Son in the unique person of Jesus Christ; and God the Holy Spirit (the Comforter).
The Holy Scripture was written by men divinely inspired (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21).
The human race was created by God’s special act as recorded in the book of Genesis (chapters 1-2).
Individuals are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8).
Baptism of the Holy Spirit and water baptism by immersion (1 Corinthians 12:13; Acts 8:36-39).
The Church is a body of believers built upon Divine Revelation initiated by Jesus Christ (Matthew 16:17).
The Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).
The Lord’s Supper (1 Corinthians 11:23-31).
